Keep The Pedal To The Metal

With the holidays around the corner, it is easy for things to get “lost in the sauce,” as they say. I don’t know exactly who “they” are, but I think they live somewhere “on the other side of the tracks.” Yeah, that’s them.

In this case, though, “they” happen to be correct. True, the holidays give us a chance to reconnect with loved ones and reflect upon the year we have had, but they also give us plenty of excuses as to why we cannot get things done.

Relatives are coming into town…

Have to get the shopping done…

Still haven’t gotten the tree…

What to do with the kids, they’re almost out of school…

Heading up to Mammoth for New Year’s…

The list goes on and on. Which actually reminds me, I still haven’t gotten the tree. Anyway … as you can see, it becomes quite the conundrum to figure out which things to get done, and which to allow to simmer in that proverbial “sauce” until next year.

As I have said in previous posts, there is no need to resolve to start projects next year, when you should be resolute in getting them going now.

D.W. and I are busy at work creating new adventures for your favorite characters in our second novel, Necromancers’ Pride – Tides of War.  Believe me, it would be easy for us to throttle back and glide into the new year, but that would not be fair to the world we are creating, or to you. Once momentum builds, it is imperative to keep building upon it.

We have had an amazing response in the unveiling of the novel cover and release of the first chapter. Thank you all for that. However, now we must use that positive energy to spur us forward, both in marketing and in the process of inventive creation. The trick is to be organized in our approach.

D.W. happens to be a machine in regards to this. He is constantly keeping us on task and moving forward. This holiday season, let’s all stay on task in accomplishing those goals we have set for ourselves. Let’s make the new year not only a start of something great, but a continuation of greatness.

What tips do you have for staying organized? How do you manage your time in this busy season?

This is your community. We want to hear from you.
