In all of the Known Kingdoms, no fighting force is more feared than that of the Viper’s Legions of the Kingdom of Morilan. These warriors are trained to hone their bodies into rock hard, vicious and merciless fighting machines through intense labor and other more insidious tactics. Those tactics being, for one, the usage of poison. If they are able to survive being slowly poisoned throughout their initial training, then their bodies build an immunity that allows them to wear the dreaded armor of the Legions that is laced with toxic venom.

Reese has built his entire life around the identity of being one of the Thorns of the Ivory Crown of Morilan. His view of life is as hard as is his training. Life is not easy or fair, so neither should you be. A master tactician, he excelled in hand-to-hand combat and field strategy while in training camp. He then distinguished himself even more so on the field of battle in several campaigns. Known as the Butcher of the Battle of Velhadris, his savagery and brilliant tactical execution earned him both the the admiration of the queen, as well as the envy of the king. It was not a favorable position for him to find himself. His mission outside of Morilan is shrouded in secrecy. What is this assignment that carries him so far from his homeland? Will he ever return? Will he be able to protect the Pride, along with the youngsters who have fallen under his care?  What price will he pay before all is done?
