T-minus ONE DAY and counting …

Do you remember that magical birthday when you knew you were going to get the presents you always wanted? What about the Christmas or Hanukkah when you were certain that the big gift in the corner was meant for you? Do you remember that giddy excitement, that feeling of fulfillment that was just fleeting moments away? Well, D.W. and I have that very feeling and more, right now.

Necromancers’ Pride –  Quest for Elderstone is going to be released tomorrow,    January 9, 2014!!

In less than 24 hours, we will be introducing what is literally our baby to the world. I’m just glad it won’t look anything like D.W. The writing is done, the artwork is in place and the platforms for release are set. Now, we countdown the final moments until a dream of ours becomes a reality.

In these last hours before the book drops (that’s a shout out to all my homies in the music biz, feel me), I wanted to introduce you to one final character. She is the first image we put out over two months ago. She is Velladriana Ral.

If you have read the back cover of the book, you are familiar with the thumbnail of her story. If you downloaded the first chapter (and shame upon you if you did not), you got to know her a little better. She is the young slave girl from the far off eastern lands of Lyndria who has been gifted (though she would probably say cursed) with amazing power.

D.W. and I wanted a protagonist and hero that would be strong, but like so many of our real life heroes, came to that calling reluctantly. We wanted to create a character that had depth, but also one that was easily accessible. Her journey is one of hardship and sorrow, but it also speaks to the triumph of the human spirit. Even against insurmountable odds, she fights. That is a lesson we can all stand to relearn, from time to time.

We look forward to you learning more about her. Hers are the eyes through which the world of Tarune will come to life.
