It is said that great works of art are seldom completed without help. When it comes to the art and craft of writing, that is especially true. When D.W. and I sat down so long ago to begin penning the first manuscript that would become Necromancers’ Pride, we had no idea how much help we would actually need to see the dream of publishing a great novel come to fruition.
Disclaimer: I always knew that D.W. needed plenty of help, but that is a post for another day.
Anyway, it is said it takes a village to raise a child. Well, it seems like it takes a city to publish a novel. From beta readers to copy editors to proofreaders to illustrators, the list of quality people you need to enlist to help you is vast. Add to that the tech people you need to help with the various formats on multiple platforms, not to mention marketing minds much more skilled than our own, and you have that proverbial village and more.
It was not always easy, at least for me, to entrust this work to others. Over time, though, I have come to understand the importance of having other strong, qualified and committed members on your team. There really is no way to do it without some assistance.
That having been said, it is my great pleasure to let you know that our blog is going to be joined by some incredible new bloggers. Starting tomorrow, Caiya Rose, a 12 year old phenom is going to be our contributing blogger on Wednesdays. She is articulate, incredibly funny and absolutely brilliant. We are really looking forward to what she has to say.
On Fridays, the amazing Jason H. is going to be lending us his stellar talents. At 15, he has an amazing view of the world and an unbelievably creative mind. Fridays will never be the same with him adding his talents to our team.
So there you have it, new names and faces are coming your way. Of course, Tuesdays and Thursdays will still be handled by yours truly, and even D.W. will be getting into the act.
Lots of fun and creativity are in store. So sit back and relax. We have some sensational content coming your way.
